Carrie serves as a Public Service Assistant at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
She provides leadership development and management to state and local government,
appointed officials, and other state and local employees. Her previous experiences
include serving as a Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice employee for 15 years.
She also served as a community outreach specialist, statewide volunteer coordinator,
and statewide coordinator for the Connections Graduate Program where she developed
curriculum and programs for youth in Georgia’s 181st school district. Carrie also served in Institutional Advancement/University Relations
at Clark Atlanta University for five years where she was engaged in strategic planning,
process improvement, and alumni giving and fundraising.
Carrie is a certified Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Instructor and
is Emotional Intelligence 2.0 and 360 Certified.
