James Byars joined the State Services and Decision Support unit in 2014 as a graduate assistant before transitioning into the Scientific Computing Professional Specialist position. He primarily assists with data processing, visualization, and modeling for projects relating to higher education policies at the institutional and state level while also providing support on other projects using large statistical and geostatistical datasets. Prior to joining the Institute of Government, James worked at the University of Georgia’s Office of Institutional Research.
