Julia Dietz is a Public Service Faculty member focused on electric mobility and infrastructure
at the Institute of Government. As part of UGA’s campus-wide electric mobility initiative,
she connects the academic and outreach resources of UGA to communities, local and
state government, utility providers, and the private sector to inform decision-making
and advance innovation in the state’s electric mobility ecosystem.
Before joining the Institute of Government, Julia specialized in environmental and
sustainability policy and coalition management in the nonprofit and state government
sectors. She focused on energy, land conservation and resilience policy objectives
as Audubon South Carolina’s Policy Director. She also previously served as the Florida
Governor’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Environmental Policy Coordinator, overseeing
the environmental, transportation and affordable housing state agencies.
