The UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government recently recognized its school accounting program’s “Class of 500.” The program, which launched in 2020, was designed for K-12 school-based support personnel who are responsible for school accounting and ensuring a school’s financial procedures are in line with local board policies, state and federal laws. The “Class of 500” included 26 accounting professionals representing 16 schools and district office finance personnel from Catoosa County Public Schools and represented 500 participants since the program’s start.
