Nearly 400 city and county clerks from across the state attended the GCEI 2026 Spring Conference in early February.
Seventeen courses were offered at the professional education conference hosted by the Georgia Clerks Education Institute, administered by the UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
At the conference, 73 new clerks took part in mandated training, and 28 clerks were recognized for earning their Georgia Certified Clerk certification or completing the Masters Education Management Development Program.
GCEI is a formal education and certification program designed to establish minimum professional standards and long-term professional goals for city and county clerks in Georgia.
