The UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government recently recognized graduates of its inaugural School System Operations Personnel Certificate program. The program launched in February, and 26 graduates from DeKalb, Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale counties as well as City Schools of Decatur were recognized at a program in mid-June. The certificate program is designed for K-12 school system operations personnel who are responsible for the day-to-day operations of school system facilities, planning and maintenance, transportation, school nutrition, safety and security, and technology infrastructure. As part of the program, participants present proposals for projects or improvements that would positively impact their school districts.
