The UGA Carl Vinson Institute of Government recently kicked off a regional branding initiative in the Columbus area.

This effort advances a priority action item from the 2022 River Valley Community Compatible Development Plan, which provides strategic direction to spur economic development in the six rural counties outside of Fort Benning and Columbus.

The regional branding initiative will develop a unified regional brand that highlights the region’s unique assets to attract visitors, talent and investment.

Key partners include the River Valley Regional Commission and Visit Columbus. The initiative is supported by the Southeast Crescent Regional Commission.
